I am a current student at the University of Western Ontario, pursuing an MA in Anthropology, in the Archaeology & Biological Anthropology Stream.

My thesis research will utilize existing collections of Peruvian mummy bundles from the current SSHRC funded project, “Mummies as Microcosms”, under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Nelson (bio). I will be using non-destructive CT & X-ray imaging techniques to analyze the skeletal remains and preserve the archaeological material. My objective is to conduct ethical research that combats the colonial legacy of archaeology, and produce work that is culturally accurate.

UWO Anthropology MA Student Bios

I graduated with High Distinction from my Honours BA at Wilfrid Laurier University, majoring in Archaeology & Heritage Studies, and minoring in Criminology.

During my undergraduate years, I focused my studies on bioarchaeological courses to develop my knowledge and skillset in preparation of graduate studies. I was fortunate to have the invaluable opportunity to participate in fieldwork excavations that allowed me to directly engage with archaeological sites, and an internship which focused on the behind-the-scenes of archaeological research.
